Larry Posner
 

Larry Posner Prior to joining Vedanta, Larry spent over 23 years in the pharmaceutical industry and was a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of Invesco Private Capital. Larry began his career in the pharmaceutical industry in 1983 at the American Cyanamid Company's Lederle Laboratories, and in 1988 moved to the Bayer Corporation's U.S. pharmaceutical headquarters in Connecticut. There he held positions of increasing product responsibility including SVP U.S. R&D, SVP North American Development, and Head of Worldwide Regulatory Affairs for pharmaceutical products.

In his roles in pharmaceutical R&D, Larry has filed more than 10 original U.S. and foreign new drug applications and over 50 supplemental applications for new dosage forms and uses. Larry also served as an advisor to POINT Biomedical on the development of novel, proprietary agents for cardiac ultrasound imaging. Larry received his AB degree in Latin American Studies from Brandeis University in 1970, and his MD from Case Western Reserve University in 1974, where he was a member of the medical honor society, AOA.

He completed his internal medicine training at the New York University Medical Center, and subspecialty training in medical oncology at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, Maryland, where from 1977 to 1980 he studied RNA tumor viruses in the Laboratory of Tumor Cell Biology under Dr. Robert Gallo. Larry also holds a Master's Degree in Economics from the University of Connecticut.
